This is my go to cocktail when I can't think of anything else to make. I have experimented with several apricot brandies/gins. So far I have found the tastiest to be using Abricot de Rousillon and Hotspur Gin from Northumberland. My standard is standard Tanqueray but have tried it with Malacca version of that gin and several others. As I have a slightly sweeter tooth I omit the lemon juice as a decent orange juice is acidic enough to balance for me. It's personal preference. Open to options and variations with the ingredients. I have been told this is good with a combination of mandarin and orange juices but so far have not tried it.

Try nordes with this recipe, it’s amazing. Maybe more orange juice but without orange bitter.

Pleasantly fruity, whether using the Giffard or de Kuyper apricot liqueurs. I am a fan of orange bitters for that "extra dimension" and this mild-mannered cocktail benefits.

Hat's off to Mr. Difford and your team.
Our first post since the PANDEMIC.
We had a total of 10 spirits, liqueurs and bitters prior to this grave situation.
Today we masked up and went to our LCBO in Ontario, Canada and purchased another new bottle...Apricot Brandy.
We made this cocktail and were shocked to hear that a city in Canada, named Paradise was engulfed with fire.
All said, was a good cocktail. Added the lemon for balance. Will have to try without.
Thank you and stay safe.

Many thanks for your kind words. While so many are still affected by the pandemic at least we can still make ourselves a consoling tasty cocktail and this one definitely benefits from a splash of balancing citrus. As you say, stay safe.
