This variation on the 'Straight' Satan's Whiskers is made curly by the use of orange curaçao liqueur. It seems strangely counter-intuitive as you'd think...

Slightly lighter take on the ‘straight’ version, none the worse for that, complex orange flavours and well balanced

What makes a drink "curled"?

The use of orange curaçao makes this particular cocktail "curled". I'm not sure there is a reason beyond a term to separate from the "straight" version that uses Grand Marnier.
