A slightly sweeter, less bitter, artichoke-influenced riff on a classic Negroni

For those who find a Negroni is too bitter and the Boulevardier isn't bitter enough (or you would really prefer gin), this drink sits nicely in the middle.

I tried with Star of Bombay and with Gordon's Pink. First one was quite strong, second was a bit sweeter due to the berries, very pleasant on the nose but with quite bitter finish.

Great Negroni variation! I dialed back the Cynar to 25mL and compensated with an extra 5mL sweet vermouth and found it a little less harsh (and thus more pleasing) in its bitterness.

What about trying bianco vermouth? I really liked it but don't want to be biased on my taste only.

Bianco vermouth does indeed work well in this cocktail but I personally prefer the fuller richness that rosso vermouth contributes.
