I was 18 when The Big Lebowski came out... so this instantly became one of my favourite drinks. Also love how “The Dude” sometimes refers to it as a “Caucasian”

Is this recipe using straight single cream that is then lightly whipped ? to make it airier?

I use Arla Lacto Free cream and shake the container before pouring to aerate. Importantly, this cocktail doesn't work with a dry coffee liqueur. The sugar not only amplifies flavours but it also adds density that helps the lighter cream float. Consider adding sugar syrup if using a dry coffee liqueur.

I like sprinkling some grated nutmeg on top, or put two or three coffee beans. A slight sprinkle of cocoa is nice, too. And I enjoy it with a straw so i can play with the two layers in the glass. Great cocktail, but your stomach will feel pretty full after one glass!
