I loved it. Not sure about the dry shake though: the foam was already lovely after the wet shake. Will definitely do it again.

Made it with Ojo de Tigre, it is delicious, refreshing and well balanced, but I think it would be event better with more smokiness so consider adding 1/2 mezcal or swapping for a smokier one.
While the new 2023 recipe seems fantastic, that would be great to keep record of the former, simpler recipe which I loved. Has it totally disappeared from the site?
Far too bitter for my taste. Will try with ginger beer when I get some.
Tried it with blood orange and raspberry syrup and it turned just fine.
I like to garnish it with both lemon and orange peels!
Funny! I rub the rim of glass with the lemon peel for the aroma, and I put an orange peel un the glass. Best of both worlds!
Again, one famous, but underrated cocktail which is a marvel to rediscover with a proper recipe like this one. Absolutely delicious anmd perfectly balanced.
I don't drink espresso but really wanted to try it with my french press and high quality maragogype coffee.
I poured the hot water on the ground coffee, gave a good stir and scooped a some créma (which is more of a foam here) and put it in the shaker with the coffee. Yes there was ground coffee as well, but it didn't go into the glass because of the strain. The cocktail was surprisingly balanced (no sugar/salt) with a nice layer of créma which held the beans with assurance. A wonderful drink.
I was expecting a sweet drink but it came out rather dry, which was a good surprise. Everyone liked it. I may try it again with 2 shots of pineapple because I think it was unfairly in the background of the scene.
A nice bourbon cocktail. I like the fanciness with the martini glass but honestly I don't see myself drinking this other an Old Fashioned.
Much more dry than I expected,i really enjoyed it and will definitely make it again
I like sprinkling some grated nutmeg on top, or put two or three coffee beans. A slight sprinkle of cocoa is nice, too. And I enjoy it with a straw so i can play with the two layers in the glass. Great cocktail, but your stomach will feel pretty full after one glass!
