Fresh, herbal and zesty. Love the fizz from the soda water and the depth from the amaro. Homegrown lemons from a friend added a proper zesty garnish. Could be suitable for a blended scotch version too?
Gathered all the ingredients and it's delicious. I also tried with vermouth bianco and tonic water instead of soda. It's OK, what a bit to strong. So, if you don't find Americano, use vermouth and enjoy (IMHO).
I had Braulio, but not the Americano, so I used Martini Bianco instead. The cocktail it's just delicious. I guess that using Americano will make it even better, but that's hard to believe. The carbonated water also adds to the enjoyment of this drink.
Don't have Amaro Braulio but had been looking for a recipe that would showcase an amaro so I could feature something I recently found, Lazzaroni Amaro. This is a good template for that purpose, showing off the features of a dark amaro in a simple, 3-ingredient drink that turns an amaro into a cocktail without obscuring it or making it sticky sweet. Adding a splash of seltzer is a nice touch that lightens things up and adds a little fizz without introducing additional flavors.
