Such an easy drink and another that is hard to stop at one. I dialled back the sugar syrup as I found it a tad too sweet with the vanilla vodka combo. I did make my own, so not sure if that might make a difference. Saved as a favourite, so that’s a good sign!
My vote: sex sells.
But also this vanilla-passion fruit-flavor in a drink needed(?) to be categorized in a way and I believe the name will survive as a description of that..
There are some recepies, that don't call for a Passoa. I am not sure, that buying bottle of passion fruit liquer for home bar is a good idea. Does liquer make a big diffrence? How can i substitute it?
Passoa has a very distinctive fruity flavour with citric acidity that will impact the cocktail if omitted. It's also great on fruit salads if you do buy a bottle!
Thanks for the quick response, really enjoying the website. The only difference is I'm using a different brand of vanilla vodka. I tried it again tonight and was a little more orange (maybe the passion fruits being more ripe) but still not as orange as the photo. Tastes fine to me and I may try one with some Rubicon also. I note the video say about pineapple but I did not use any as it isn't in the recipe above. Thanks.
15ml puree should do the trick. It adds an attractive foam that you don't get with fresh fruit but I like the slight sharpness fresh fruit imparts. Not going to be the same without a half passion fruit boat floating on top.
