Take it slowly and the dilution from a block of ice, as well as the drink losing its initially sharp chill, opens everything up beautifully.

A delicious nightcap with lots of interesting flavors. The orgeat and sherry combo is the highlight for me, giving this cocktail a sweet, nutty flavor accentuated by the spice of the rye and angostura. A new favorite.

Better than mellow, in my view. Some lovely subtlety of flavours while still delivering a deliciously punchy cocktail.
