Had high hopes but unfortunately fell short. Too much chocolate cream and not enough coffee flavor for me, the ratio of bourbon and cream is good but needs more coffee to darken it up a little.
I accidentally made it twice. I didn’t think I had cream chocolate liqueur so made it with dark chocolate liqueur- then found the cream one once I had made it! Chocolate, coffee and whiskey, what’s not to like! Dark liqueur tastes cleaner and the creamy one is obviously creamier… I think a blended chocolate ice cream version of this is what’s really required…
Maybe my expresso was too strong, or I over diluted the cocktail, but it wasn't the sweet, creamy dessert cocktail I expected. I used Mozart's chocolate cream, btw.
