We had been adding a dash or two of celery bitters to give a really clean and crisp vodka martini, but the ginseng bitters suggested here is a fantastic improvement.

Preferred the vodka martini #1 with a 3:1 ratio, not the 10:1 ratio in the vodkatini recipe. I’m not sure why you would have such a tiny amount of flavour (from vermouth) along with flavourless vodka. Might as well just have a vodka shot if you want to get flavourless alcohol into you.

I agree, this didn't have much of a taste. A 4:1 or 5:1 ratio also makes a very clean and enjoyable vodka martini.

Honestly, I think it's far inferior to a classic Martini with a good gin. With vodka the taste of the dry Vermouth became very prevalent even in a small amount.

Now this is interesting. A subtle drink of Noilly Prat and lemon zest, that kicks you in the head. Fun for the sledgehammer blow it delivers, but I'd rather enjoy neat dry vermouth on ice with a twist.

Ketel One and Dolin Dry, olive garnish... A Martini has gin in it, not vodka. (1 Feb 2023, 8:16a)

This glass of wine relaxes me, but it's too much. I just need a little vermouth.

Great vodka martini. No frills or hype. Just the classic drink.
