Very good and refreshing. Depending on the orange I would be careful with the sugar syrup. Next time I will try to change sugar syrup for Ancho Reyes.

100% agreed. I felt like my oranges were quite sweet so I didn't use sugar at all. The cocktail turned sweeter than I expected

Makes a great Blood Orange Daiquiri (which doesn't seem to exist in Difford's Guide) simply by replacing the orange juice with blood orange juice. I used a fairly sweet, orange-y cognac liqueur (A. de Fusigny; similar in sweetness to Grand Marnier) and skipped the additional sugar syrup. Garnished with orange and lime zest twists. The blood orange makes this special.

Interesting using the orange base. Loved the subtle notes of the cocktail and was very refreshing.
