Just tried a recipe with the same name from another drink site: 45 ml dry vermouth, 22.5 ml fino sherry, 1 barspoon maraschino (amounted to 2.5 ml), and 2 dashes orange bitters (no garnish). I found that had more depth than the one above with equal parts vermouth/sherry and the maraschino, though subtle, somehow stood out a touch more as well. An olive in this does sound good though, hmm.
Somehow, with the ingredients list calling for Noilly Prat, my mind automatically added gin, so I put in about an ounce of Blue Juice (Bombay Sapphire), and omitted the sugar syrup. It tasted very nice, and had quite a kick!
