Made this with Beefeater gin and my own homemade lime cordial. Really delicious and bracingly tart, but just balanced enough.

I was just about to say practically the same thing. Used Tanqueray. Did your cordial have citric acid in it? I like how puckering it is, but my eyes are starting to water.

I made the cocktail with Monin Lime Cordial and had to add a barspoon Sugar Syrup, although my taste is on the dryer side.

Rose’s in the US 2022 is high fructose corn syrup. Blech. If possible, make your own.

This is a great drink and very refreshing. I used Beefeaters London Dry Gin, skimped just slightly on the Roses, I prefer dryer drinks in general, but if you like them sweeter, go for it!

Tasty and goes down quickly, but I should have trusted my instinct and reduced the lime cordial. I used Tanqueray Rangpur and was hoping to taste gin, but the citruses overpowered it. As Eva S. said, it's more of a Gin-garita.

Found a recipe for homemade lime cordial, so had to give this a try. Really delicious. Simple and tasty. Like a Gin Margarita!

Having tried this a couple of times, I have tweaked this recipe a bit and go 1 measure of lime juice and try not to let the ice dilute the cocktail too much. I found the Roses made it a fraction too sweet for me, but I didn't want to lose the lime "hit".

Surprised by this cocktail, very refreshing and clean tasting. Why isn’t it on more cocktail bar menus, too simple perhaps ?

Agreed. Perhaps a sigma behind lime cordial. Sadly, Roses in the UK is a lesser product I’ve come across in other countries. Ironic considering where it originated.
