What a surprise! I've been trying to find use for the banana liqueur and cognac languishing in my bar. Bought the liqueur to try and replicate my dad's banana daiquiris (without success) and the inexpensive cognac for various mixed drinks. But until now I hadn't found anything I really liked using either. It's amazing how both spirits were transformed into something delicious, with a little sherry help! Many thanks!!

我在想。如果我把完全成熟的香蕉和干邑融合在一起来代替香蕉利口酒如何?

Before tasting I was a bit worried with this one as the banana fragrance is very strong; however, the taste is sharp and clean. You get the initial flavour of the banana, but then the shapness of the cognac. Excellent.
Like the other comments about adding cream to make a Banana Brandy Alexander. Sounds like a new after dinner drink.

Also worked perfectly as an aperitif with some whole meal crackers and a sharp cheddar.

The cognac and banana are a beautiful combination (I used Tempus Fugit creme de banane with a lovely, slightly bitter caramel edge, the best I’ve come across) but this just lacks a bit of body - cream? Tasty, nonetheless.

Also, I’ve just seen that if I’d have added cream it would’ve become a Banana Alexander. Logical, I s’pose… Fair enough! ?
