This is a killer good cocktail. My favorite of the "modern classics" and one of the only cocktails I know that actually works with its 4 equal parts ratio. (most of the others with that base structure benefit from some tinkering with the ratios.) This is a must try, and one you should have in your go-to repertoire.

i didnt have Amaro Nonino , and used yellow Chartreuse instead. I also followed Jason's advice & reduced the lemon juice. Worked well.

Great drink. Also, good with Averna, but maybe could use a touch of simple syrup unless you like it tart. Very interesting with Green Chartreuse. Worth a try.

Terrific drink. Made this with Select and Amaro Montenegro. Great balance and seriously quotable.

I made this tonight (you can watch the video of me doing so here if like: https://youtu.be/k2XApf7IpB4). I know this is an equal measures drink, but I think that taking down the lemon juice a tad makes for a more balanced cocktail, because the Aperol is already quite bitter, and allows the Nonino to shine.

Love this cocktail and so has everyone I've made it for.

Made it with a cheap, generic bourbon and Amaro Lucarno (because I had it in my cupboard, but didn’t have any Amaro Nonino) and really enjoyed the result.

A bit like a less bitter/herbal, but more citrusy Last Word. Very refreshing accompaniment to a good cigar on my balcony in the sun on a baking hot afternoon.
