This is a special drink. The nose of Cachaça is really nice against the Gran Classico (which is criminally underused) and the sweetness of the rum (I used Flor de Cana 4).

Lime juice, Coconut liqueur, Vanilla vodka
Seems a little sweet, maybe my honey is too rich. But this is a lovely drink. Smoky, layers of spice. Top notch sour variation. Will have again.
This was a quite good Negroni variation. The Tsipouro takes a back seat to the Campari, but not in an unpleasant way.
We also tried a Ouzo Negroni, which also worked very well. Basically a Negroni with anise instead of juniper.
Very nice - rich and sweet just like Christmas drinks should be! I didn't have any walnut liqueur but hazelnut worked well as an alternative. I also put a drop of chocolate bitters in which doesn't go amiss.
Good advice, I had the walnut (but had to sub dry Curaçao so the orange balance wasn’t quite right). The drop of bitters underscores the sherry.
Substituted Galliano for Benedictine to make a version for a vegan (Benedictine, as well as Drambuie and Yellow Chartreuse, is made with honey). Not quite as good but an entirely reasonable version.
This is a really good drink. A wonderful balance of bitter, nutty, and sour. I found it first on Anders Erickson’s YouTube site by Mr. Thompson. I also made a version replacing the amaretto with walnut liqueur instead of amaretto that is also excellent.
It also works really well switching the Irish for rye whiskey…I guess that’s a less sweet greenpoint.
Definitely not a 9 on dry/sour. Very sweet. But switch out the amaretto for a walnut liqueur (I had Nero) and the drink feels somewhat less sweet and more like a smokey coffee. Much improved!
Really nice with cognac instead of vodka and 1/4 oz rich Demerara syrup. The toffee notes come out nicely. Thanks to Anders Erickson YouTube for the idea.
The balance isn't right. Double orgeat and add more orange flower water improves it
I find Aperol to be too sweet. If you replace it with Nonino it really improves the drink.
Try it with lemon instead of lime, I had it that way and it was called La Palabra Ultima
Chartreuse Green, Maraschino liqueur, Lemon juice, Mezcal
Mezcal, Maraschino liqueur, Lime juice, Red bitter liqueur
Great drink. Also, good with Averna, but maybe could use a touch of simple syrup unless you like it tart. Very interesting with Green Chartreuse. Worth a try.
Try replacing the Aperol with Campari!
