Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old)
16 oz La Fée Parisienne absinthe
16 oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur
12 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Almond (Orgeat) Syrup
2 dash Orange blossom water / Orange flower water
12 oz Chilled water omit if using wet ice
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Coupe glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of Luxardo Maraschino Cherry.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. Garnish with maraschino cherry.

Maybe it depends on the products used, but in my version the balance tasted perfect.

Obviously, this isn't a doppelganger of the drink... but this makes me think of what I'd receive when ordering a Last Word in a bowling alley.

Like the two other comment, I found that the balance of this drink was a bit off. I tried to add a bit of amaretto like mister Hinojos had suggested. the mix was better but a bit flat, for my taste. So I tested with a bit more of Maraschino and some orange flower water, like mister Dworkin tried. I liked that version a bit more.

This is nice, but it seems to be missing the almond flavour. It seems to be overshadowed by the Maraschino and Absinthe. Could increase the Orgeat or maybe add some Amaretto.

The balance isn't right. Double orgeat and add more orange flower water improves it
