Definitely dial down the maraschino a tad. Somehow it managed to drown out the peat; still puzzled how that’s even possible.

Incredibly delicious. I usually do not like sweeter cocktails but I will make an exception this time as I really like Maraschino. Next time I"ll dial it down to 15ml and skip the cherry though. Stir well as this drink really benefits from good dilution,

The maraschino and absinthe impressively stand up against the Laphroig like Sitting Bull to Custer at the battle of Little Bighorn. Marvelous.

This worked great with Laphroig 10 - that TCP taste went very well with the absinthe!

This may be a success for fans of smokey Scotch, but for others, this needs a LOT more masking. I found it worked okay with equal parts Maraschino and Scotch and with some lemon juice to balance the sweetness. The absinthe is certainly a welcome addition.

I really enjoyed this. At first I found it a bit sweet and as I was sipping reading the history and comments, I saw the suggestion of adding some lemon to balance the sweetness. I just stirred in a little juice and I think it really elevates it. I'm guessing I used 1/12 oz.
