Today we toast one of the world's greatest pairings: coffee and milk.

It's National Latte Day and what better way to celebrate than with a steamy, creamy cup of coffee goodness?

Made with espresso, steamed milk and topped with a layer of foam, the latte is a drink that's loved by coffee aficionados the world over for its rich, smooth, and creamy taste. But the latte is also a versatile creature, happy to be customised to your liking, whether it's adding a shot of caramel, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or a drizzle of chocolate. The possibilities are endless, and the result is always a delicious, satisfying cup of coffee.

The latte has come a long way since its humble beginnings. It's no longer just a simple coffee drink, but has evolved into a work of art, with baristas creating intricate designs on top of the foam. From leaf patterns to portraits, there's no limit to the imagination of a talented barista with a steaming pitcher of milk.

Much like the Irish Latte, the simple addition of the Irish cream liqueur giving it that extra je ne sais quoi.

It's the anniversary of Whitney Houston's death

Sadly, Whitney Houston was found dead in her bath at the Beverly Hills Hilton on 11th February 2012. And, in the manner of Michael Jackson, Whitney had a career based on an incredible voice and stage presence, yet overshadowed by serial indiscretions.

By the time she died, drugs, alcohol and cigarettes had taken their toll on Whitney's mind, and the voice which had made her the fourth biggest-selling female artist of all time. Amazingly, despite wearing both a wig and dentures, her beauty had not faded. So, in honour of the godmother of the power ballad, someone who sang about the love that seems to have eluded her for much of her life, we are drinking an Elle Loves.
