Made this with Averna and it was very nicely balanced. Enough bitterness from the grapefruit, and rich texture from the Amaro. Came out great.

I like this, but at first taste, a little too much of the pineapple. I floated some hopped grapefruit bitters on the foam and thought that added some of the complexity that I think a couple of other reviewers were looking for too.
Really nicely balanced. Reminiscent of an egg nog, but much less heavy cream mouth feel. Great late night sipper by a fire!
This drink looked beautiful -- the pineapple juice made a nice foamy head. But I thought the flavor balance was too much pineapple-forward with the lime and gin drowned out.

Great riff on a Paloma. Served this up, and without the soda water and liked it even better!
Rye whiskey 50% abv, China-China liqueur, Brown sugar syrup, Chocolate bitters, Peated malt whisky
I added 1 dash cardamom bitters (brought out the ginger) and 1/4 oz simple sugar (cut the sour a bit).
It was nice!
