This is the drink that turned around mezcal for me. So simple, and so good.

What is with these measurements?

Really not bad at all. I was suspicious going in. A touch too sweet, but fairly balanced against the heavy flavors the Mezcal and Suze bring.

Didn't have ginger syrup, so I just melted down some candied ginger.

Almost has a gentian flavor, not my favorite. Needs sweetening up a bit.

I am not by any measure a fan of mezcal, but this very simple pairing compliment each other beautifully, and create something altogether new.
Did one with a dash of orange bitters that was even better.

This tastes very like Rose. That’s the overwhelming flavour. If you like rose this is the one.

Why not round up 5/12 to .5oz? Seems arbitrary to make it specific for less than .1 oz.

A couple tsp of Maraschino liqueur elevates this nicely

I was expecting this one to be super bitter, but it is very palatable. I upped the Aperol by a 1/2oz to sweeten it a bit.
