Serve in a Coupe glass

Ingredients:
1 oz Applejack brandy
1 oz Light gold rum (1-3 year old molasses column)
12 oz Orange juice (freshly squeezed)
12 oz Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
13 oz Monin Grenadine Syrup
2 drop Saline solution (20g sea salt to 80g water) or merest pinch of s
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COUPE GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of quarter orange slice wheel on rim.

How to make:

  1. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  2. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.

  1. Garnish with quarter orange wheel on rim.

Love your site. The ingredient list calls for golden rum, the description describes dark rum. Which one should I use?

Thanks, Tucker. I used Havana 3, so more accurately a golden rather than dark rum, a rum with a little age and character.

Nice riff on a Jack Rose. A bit less tart with the added orange juice. I used Mt Gay Black Barrel for the rum and the split base with applejack was very complementary.
