This Bombay Sapphire limited edition bottle was launched in 2013 to celebrate the opening of The Bombay Spirits Company's Laverstoke Mill Distillery. The gin inside is made to Bombay Sapphire's usual recipe but is bottled at 49% so has a slightly different taste profile.
The bottle's design takes inspiration from all aspects of the Distillery including the two intertwining glasshouses designed by acclaimed London architects Heatherwick Studio and the historical Hampshire location.

Appearance:
Crystal clear.
Aroma:
Surprisingly subdued. The high alcohol content appears to lock-in botanical aromas. Piney juniper emerges with lemony notes akin to lemon meringue pie filling with red pepper corns. A splash of water releases musky nutty scents from the angelica root and fragrant aromas from the coriander seeds.
Taste:
Sampled neat this high-strength gin has a surprisingly mild alcohol attack. Piney juniper and coriander sing out with a perceived slight sweetness subduing lemon and black pepper notes. Perversely, the addition of water appears to amplify the peppery spiced notes with sweet coriander.
Aftertaste:
Pine and lavender juniper notes with coriander and lingering cracked black pepper.
