I made this after a very long hot summer day, when I wanted something cool and refreshing to wash away the cares of work. It hit on every count. I used Ciroc VS Brandy, and it was like drinking fruit punch from a martini glass. The sugared rim tempered some of the bitterness and the Chambord works perfectly with the cranberry juice. This may become a seasonal favorite. No special preparation needed, no fancy ingredients, just the way I like my end of day cocktails.
