Found this one a bit underwhelming considering we are fans of all the ingredients. We added orange bitters to one and creole to the other and it definitely improved the flavour.

My first menu item at Russell House Tavern (Cambridge, MA) back in 2013 when it sold for a mere $9 for the 4 oz build! Based off of the Metexa aperitif from the 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book.

What a pleasant and refreshing cocktail. Nice hint of spices and the tequila. A little on the margarita side. Would consider using Difford's Margarita Bitters next time. Wonderful on a warm afternoon or evening.

With the second half of my cocktail, I did add 2 drops of Difford's Margarita Bitters. Does enhance the flavours and blends all the tastes together better. For a full cocktail that would be 4 drops of bitters.
