Ingredients:
1 12 oz Straight rye whiskey (100 proof /50% alc./vol.)
13 oz Green Chartreuse (or alternative herbal liqueur)
13 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
16 oz Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix)
3 oz Strawberry soda chilled
× 1 1 serving

Prepare:

  1. Select and pre-chill a COLLINS GLASS.
  2. Prepare garnish of strawberry with mint sprig tip.

How to make:

  1. SHAKE first 4 ingredients with ice.
  2. STRAIN into ice-filled glass whilst also pouring soda.

Garnish:

  1. Garnish with strawberry with mint sprig tip leaves.

Strawberry and Chartreuse is a surprising combo, but it works and the spice of the rye is appropriate. Amazing that the green Chartreuse is the most prominent of the flavors here, although the rye, strawberry and lime all are present in support. A very nice highball.
