Serve in a Martini glass
2 slice | Fresh ginger root (thumbnail-sized slice) |
2 oz | Ketel One Vodka |
3⁄4 oz | Ginger wine |
3⁄4 oz | Apple juice/apple cider (cloudy & unsweetened) |
1⁄2 oz | Lime juice (freshly squeezed) |
1⁄4 oz | Monin Pure Cane Syrup (65.0°brix, equivalent to 2:1 rich syrup) |
Garnish: Slice root ginger
MUDDLE ginger in base of shaker. Add other ingredients, SHAKE with ice and fine strain into chilled glass.
This Martini may be served chilled but its flavour is distinctly warming.
Discovered in 2003 at Hurricane Bar and Grill, Edinburgh, Scotland.
