Barrel-aged for a minimum of ten years under the Caribbean sun, after blending this rum is lightly charcoal filtered.

(sample bottle No.BB711, youngest rum barrelled 2009) Clear, mid-deep golden amber.
Pineapple, banana and peach with almond and vanilla.
Vanilla, honey, nougat, peach, apricot and banana with delicate cinnamon spice.
Not quite ripe pineapple and cinnamon.
Age statement wise this may be a mere two years older than Bacardi's Reserva Ocho but how those extra years have mellowed. It many have some added sugar, but this is far from tasting like a sweetened rum. Indeed, it's perfectly balanced, incredibly mellow and all too quaffable. Yummm.
