Serve in a Martini glass

Ingredients:
1 12 oz Ketel One Citroen Vodka
34 oz Cointreau triple sec liqueur
34 oz Lime juice (freshly squeezed)
34 oz Cranberry juice (sweetened)
× 1 1 serving

How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a Martini glass.
  2. Prepare garnish of lemon zest twist.
  3. SHAKE all ingredients with ice.
  4. FINE STRAIN into chilled glass.
  5. EXPRESS lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use as garnish.

Review:

This 2:1:1:1 original Cosmopolitan is on the tart side of balanced with the citrus-flavoured vodka shining over the other ingredients. Indeed, Toby describes his Cosmo as being "kind of a brutal sour, it's very very tart."

History:

The original Cosmopolitan cocktail recipe as created in 1988 by Toby Cecchini at The Odeon in New York City. Toby's recipe used the then newly launched Absolut Citron and Cointreau triple sec.

substituting Belvedere's Organic infusion lemon & basil (with a touch of elderflower) vodka for the citroen vodka elevates this....
