A wet martini flavoured with copious amounts of limoncello (which slightly sweetens and adds surprisingly subtle lemon favours) and a dash of Chartreuse...
I must confess I was skeptical because I thought the Limoncello would have made the mix too sweet and lemony and spoilt it. Instead, I found it correctly balanced in terms of sweetness and flavour. The gin still manages to stand out. Recommended.
When you’re in the mood for a martini with a bright sense of lemon, background sweetness allows the dry vermouth to come forward while showcasing the Green Chartreuse botanicals.
Definitely still a Martini. The lemon is there, but not overpowering. Hard to detect the Chartreuse, but no adjustments are needed to this excellent drink.
