Makes me want to start a series called "Does It Flip?": take a classic cocktail recipe, add an egg, shake, and find out the answer!

How is this cocktail so amazing? It's basically a Negroni with an added egg. The egg changes the flavour enough to make it interesting, but still has that delicious Negroni taste. I love it! Trying this for this first time to round off Negroni Week 2024 (Negroni Flip)

Thanks for this one Simon. Before I try to make it, would regular rosso vermouth work here also or is there a significant impact to the flavour?

Works well when made with a regular rosso vermouth but better with a more weighty vermouth.

Not reverse dry shake ? - knowing Simon’s preference. Is that because of the whole egg?

Both dry shake methods work with this cocktail, but perhaps better not reversed in this case.
