This is a nice way to finish off a bottle of sherry and lovely after dinner.
This was delicious post dinner and great use of a leftover yolk when the egg white was used previously!
I have a litre bottle of Metaxa I've been meaning to finish up so I made this today. It's pretty good and the chartreuse and ouzo are battling it out for the flavours. I think they complement each other quite well! Thank you Simon.
Since it's Olympic, I made it with Metaxa 7 star, and it really shone through! Lovely drink.
Revisiting with laird’s 86, Plymouth gin and dopo teatro. Multilayered and so many beautiful flavours here. Be sure to balance plus/minus millilitres for your ingredients. I find Chartreuse quite strong so relatively increased the others, especially gin and applejack. Top stuff!!
I agree with this on the chartreuse front! But still a great cocktail.
Probably one of my favourite drinks. Made with Roku gin and Karminia Rosso Vermouth. Really nice after dinner (and before).
Would love to see a cocktail combining this with actual Kaya jam!
Great use of spare watermelon but ideally should add some more precise measurement to the fruit.
Huh. Not quite what I'd expected. Not as sweet, and more earthy and bitter. Immediately thought I needed something spicy to eat with this. Tacos or Indian food. I don't know why, but this is calling for coriander and smoky chicken to join it.
Got a Patron Silver on offer today and this seemed like the perfect recipe to try it with. Very nice, just the right level of sweet. I can see why it would be good at the beach.
This was lovely after lunch on a warm day. Used Noilly Prat and monin creme de cassis and it was a little too sweet but the suggested one may be better.
I ran out of my usual brandy so made this with Metaxa 7 star instead since I have a lot of it. It worked but probably less lemon would benefit it in my scenario!
Thanks for this one Simon. Before I try to make it, would regular rosso vermouth work here also or is there a significant impact to the flavour?
