Especially liking how not sweet and refreshingly minty this is.

Just checking: 5 mint leaves, but garnish with "mint leaf". Taken literally this suggests shaking with the four remaining leaves, but perhaps I am being too literal?

SHAKE with 5 mint leaves and garnish with a sixth mint leaf.

This is a far more delicate and refreshing drink than the ingredients may suggest. Superbly balanced and dangerously drinkable.

I have made this with both Suze and Aveze, and the latter is distinctly superior.

I've only just got a bottle of "this" Chartreuse (is there an abbreviation you can use? C de M?) so this cocktail is a good start to dial things up (or down) to get what suits you. Less Suze for sure in Take 2.

For my taste it is one of the weaker last word variations, the Suze is a bit too dominant. In my opinion Suze is a bit like lovage or truffles in the kitchen. It is great, but really difficult to find the amount which not dominates everything.

You are right, Florian. Achieving the right balance is Suze is a subtle art.

I like it! Just right amount, tastes like fresh spring and green herby. Lovely color, too.
