Hayman's Old Tom, Luxardo Maraschino, and Carpano Antica for mine. Perhaps a different vermouth next time, as it sat well off the stage, in the wings. Maybe that is the point? I thought Foro Vermouth di Torino would clash.

This cocktail seemed to pull a little more out of the gin than I was getting straight, which I found interesting. I went scant on the Luxardo, closer to 1/4oz, and feel I could've gone the full 1/3 with the specific brand choices I made.

Nice, balanced and sufficiently interesting to make you want two!

We used a maraschino that was not as sweet asLuxardo, so I think we would need to cut back on the lime juice a bit.

An excellent example of how a pre-Prohibition cocktail would have tasted. Slightly sweet, but not as much as I was expecting. The various flavours mix perfectly together and provides a nice cocktail which would a welcome any time of the day.

A very nice cocktail. Gin forward, citrus mid-palate and a Vermouth finish. Not overly sweet. Very enjoyable.

Made one of these tonight using Dubonnet in place of the vermouth, worked pretty well! A little less sweet. I like the combination of flavors.
