I always thought that no cognac cocktail could be better than a sidecar. This proved me wrong! Absolut perfect balance of sweet, sour, herbal and fruity.
Also tried one replacing the cognac with a split mezcal/seales 10 yr old rum. This has been a great go to for a lot of sours for me, and it’s really great here.
Agree with the other comments. This was definitely not as sweet as I was expecting. Nice citrus tones and the herbal honey flavours from the DOM. Would have again.
Yum! I agree with JH — these are deceptively easy to quaff. This would be a great introductory drink for those looking to get into spirit-heavy, Prohibition-style cocktails. I’ll be adding it to my regular rotation!
