I recently got a bottle of amaro Montenegro and have been searching for cocktails to use it in, and this one as well as 'Lost in Translation' are my favorite so far. I did 2:1 Talisker 10 to Montenegro Up, knowing I prefer things a little less sweet, and it turned out perfect in the Spirit to sweet flavor. The Montenegro comes through the most of any cocktail I've had it in, yet balanced in the 2:1 ratio
Also if I can suggest an addendum to this amazing recipe, a couple of dashes of Bogart's Bitters (I measured ⅛cl with the incredible Easy Jigger) are a very welcome addition
Was looking for a drink to try a new bottle of Tomintoul's peated Speyside and was surprised to see my name in the history haha, never noticed this page was created. Can confirm the drink is as good as ever and works beautifully with a malted whisky too.
Amazing - even if not surprising - and very fit for the winter season. I'd call this a L&M to acknowledge the M&M origin, and since the two great Islay competitors both start their name with a "L".
This is great! I don't have (and have a hard time locating) the suggested whisky, so I used an Ardbeg Ten - which I adore and built it in the glass with a big ice cube. So simple and so delicious!
