well i think it kinda just tastes like a negroni
meh
for cockails with added water but "omit if using wet ice" you could also add "...or lower abv ingredients"
Just got my first bottle of Boker's Bitters today, and I'm on a mad spree... Didn't use top tier amaretto. Monkey Shoulder'ing the whisky load. Two dashes of the bitters... Surprisingly ok. But now I'm brainstorming subs for the Boker's; black walnut?... Worth a revisit. (15 Jun 2023, 2:19p)
if its not disaronno its honestly probably very bad in my experience
Tequi 'Leoni
Which cocktails I can make with this Amaro? There are a lot of different kinds, so I am a bit lost.
i also want to know some cocktails to make from this
Very nice after-dinner cocktail. A bit sweet and would reduce the Ginger Liqueur to 15ml. Use a good Scotch Whisky.
agreed, definitely needs a pungent potent distinctive whisky, as called for. i used a mid-shelf kirkland and its very bland
tanqeuray | narancello | agave srp ... dont have any limoncello or ss so i subbed ... tastes like a margarita to me, in fact i could have been fooled into thinking it was one with some fancy triple sec. its good. i used less lemon and sugar than called for. could use no sugar.
tastes like banana liqeuer
This is an OK drink with an interesting expression of all the flavors which balance nicely in the glass. The issue is that the result of the balance simply isn't particularly delicious. It's not that it's undrinkable, it's just simply OK.
this. just tastes like muddy irish whiskey
Vodka + coke is definitely a thing that people drink, so I don't think that's it? Which coffee liqueur did you use?
mr black
martini R | Wolcott (TW) - sweet. plain. cant really taste the galliano. but its straight and clean. lemon squeeze is a nice mix. evocative of Trix cereal. i think i want more booze, perhaps less galliano as another commentator said. maybe even serve it on the rocks.
not as bad as most drambuie cocktails... :D
Almost every time I try a vodka cocktail, I think “this would be so much better with a different base spirit.” In this case, Pisco was calling to me, so I tried it again with Pisco instead of vodka and it is excellent!
i weirdly had a similar thought... vodka is a bit simple or flat sometimes, but its great to beef up modifiers you enjoy like harvey wallbanger
sweet
far too sour
i suspect my dry vermouth might have been bad but this was not so good
delicious, predictably. not too sour, stuff usually is for me. well balanced, but for my taste i might want to bump up the rye by 50% or more.
i cut the lemon by 25% and its still too tangy! shucks :s
and sweet. its also too sweet. my dad would like this tho

i concur, i'd use a bit less elderflower liqueur. otherwise this is a great jazz-up for some mediocre kirkland champagne. i love it.
6-1 was a bit dry. 4-1 was about right but slightly dry i'd say.
On the sweet side, but the floral notes help cut it a bit. Very nice.
