As the name suggests this is a punchy cocktail – spirituous and bittersweet with a long bitter finish. Far from being a crowd-pleaser

For some reason the nose reminds me a lot of strawberry jam. On the palate you get a cacophony of flavours. The cachaca is obviously front and center, building the body for the entire cocktail. The abricot eau-de-vie is stronger than you think, joining forces with the cachaca. The middle of the palate succumbs to Campari for a bit but surprisingly not overpowering at all. The finish is grapefruit bitterness and dry vermouth. I really like this cocktail. It let's all ingredients have their place.

As I expected, Campari overpowers vermouth, pink grapefruit and apricot. Save your time and mix cachaca with Campari. :)

Great aperitivo. Herbal with just the right amount of sweetness. Wonderfully spirit forward. Balanced.

Certainly pleased me. Worked well with Apricot Liqueur. Must try this with the specified Apricot Eau de Vie. The hunt is on.
