Do you want an aged rum & tonic? Then look no further. It tastes exactly like you'd expect ED8 and tonic to taste. Unfortunately it's not particularly special. It lacks a bite as the caramel notes of the rum and the quinine bitterness pull in different directions.

Wife and I like it. Appleton Signature. Stock tonic water. C'mon summer.

Very good. We decided to amp up the rum and used some pot-stilled black Jamaican and overproof Navy Rum. It was great.
Curious, was this named after the actress Peg Entwistle from the 1930s who was also known as the Hollywood Sign Girl. Does anyone know the genesis of the name for this coctail?

I made this tonight, and I'm curious where the "error" came into it - delicious!

I ended up making this with Havana Club 7 and Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic and it came out very, very nice.

As ever, this site is great because if you have leftover lemon juice, you can just use the advanced search and see what else you can make with fresh ingredients.

Great way to discover new drinks

Fever Tree 'Refreshingly Light' Premium Indian Tonic Water did not cut it in this recipe. Had to add approx 1/2 tsp 2:1 sugar syrup. Lovely with the El Dorado 8, though. Always looking for ways to use it.

Agreed. Although I found it needed 7.5ml top 10ml sugar syrup and I worry that I left this out when I originally uploaded this cocktail. Many thanks for bringing to my attention.
