Retried it with the full 12oz of ice. Was a brain hurting and bland slushy unfortunately. I eventually was inspired by the frozen Daiquiri on the website, and strained it. It was much better and more flavourful. All in all, I'd reduce the ice.
Tried this blended. A very nice, refreshing fruity drink with a little tartness of lime. I added 7.5ml of agave syrup, made the drink even more approachable. I used Havana Club 3.
I ran out of white rum while making this so partially subbed with a 5 year old rum, and it was nice that way. I also had a tajin rim which went well too.
As fan of the Nutribullet in cocktail making, we did it the following way for two modest cocktails.
Into cup: 2x ice cubes, 80g rum, 80g mango flesh, one lime, 8g Agave syrup.
Big zizz, came out superb.
I try these receip with a little change, I use 7 years old rum instead of white. I think the add of sugar syrup give at these daiquiri the right mouth close. The fruity taste of mango mixed with the refreshing And citrusy touch of the lime juice is great.
I agree. I think using an aged rum like El Dorado 5 or 8 or Plantation 5 makes it more interesting and 0.5 oz simple syrup to match the lime juice brings out the sweet mango flavour.
