Although with small proportions of ingredients, a very tasty and delicately complex cocktail. I changed the homemade grenadine syrup to 7.5 ml without sugar syrup. I enjoyed the fact that all the ingredients are recognizable in the taste and are nicely balanced.

Just as a matter of interest, is the image used here from an older revision of the drink? I find it hard to believe such a rich red is possible with a scant ½cl grenadine. Mine came out much closer to rose gold/pink (using Havana 3 & homemade grenadine).

As for the drink, I think it might benefit from a zest in the shaker as well as as a garnish. I found it slightly lacking in tartness. Could potentially also just bump up the lemon juice to ¾-1cl, or maybe add ¼-½cl lime.

I made it following the web site recipe (using white rum, not gold) and it was still delicious.

I discovered this cocktail while perusing the Difford's #9 app. The units of measurement for both the Luxardo Maraschino and the Pomegranate syrup were not provided, it just said "shot". And so I added one shot of each. Then I checked the web site and quickly realised the error of my ways. (Mr. Difford, or more specifically, Mr. App, whomever that may be, you might want to fix that glitch.) FORTUNATELY, I have a sweet tooth, so MY version of the Cuban Cocktail is still palatable. Delish!

Sadly, the app is stuck at #9 while I've moved on to #17 and counting. We are striving to make the website look and function like an app on your phone.

It is indeed a bite-sized cocktail so I have changed from a Coupe to a Nick & Nora glass. I have also strived to improve the recipe.
