Emerald green with full-on mint. Good as a digestif after a tenor-sized meal. This was originally a shaken cocktail, and despite modern-day convention...
It’s totally not true
This cocktail created in 1997
Cafe Albena Kyiv, Ukraine
All another stories it’s just story for marketing.
From first day it was just classical Gyn Tonic with 7-10 ml mint liquor
And after few days it was changed. Juke-August 1997. Kamandarma Kameneva street 2A
Kiev, Ukraine
Created by Emil Saliani
Whatever cocktail was made by Emil Saliani in 1997 at Cafe Albena Kyiv in Ukraine, the Caruso Cocktail, comprising equal parts gin, dry vermouth, and green crème de menthe, was published in the Savoy Cocktail book 67 years earlier. That is an unarguable fact!
This looks great (though everyone assumed it was Midori; mine came out a lighter green than the picture) but I'd probably go a little less Creme de Menth next time--it really was "full-on mint". I agree completely with the shaking recommendation.
