The cognac and banana are a beautiful combination (I used Tempus Fugit creme de banane with a lovely, slightly bitter caramel edge, the best I’ve come across) but this just lacks a bit of body - cream? Tasty, nonetheless.

Also, I’ve just seen that if I’d have added cream it would’ve become a Banana Alexander. Logical, I s’pose… Fair enough! ?

Agreed! Hopefully, the sherry and bitters introduced above are the answer. Now the recipe has had some attention, next I need to fix that photo.
