OK don't laugh at me but after not finding Yellow Chartreuse in ages I went with 15ml Green Chartreuse, 15ml Campari, and 5ml each Strega, Dolin Génépy, and Boomsma Cloosterbitter. Delightful indeed! Next I'll try it with Mr. Sedgley's suggestion.

Made with "legit" Chartreuse and Genepy. BUT I forgot the lime. My wife and I tried it and thought it very good. As I read the ingredients to her, I realized I forgot the lime. Added the lime and also good. I think I could drink it with or without the lime. Fun.

This sounds like when I let my husband mix a cocktail unsupervised and he forgot the sugar syrup and I said “hmm it’s very limey” lol so had to mix some sugar syrup in the glass

As ‘love and murder’ is on my favourite list I was fairly sure we’d like this, and we did! Similar to my comments for that, this has the last word gin, lime and chartreuse with a lovely balancing dose of bitter. Being a mezcal fan we also took Simon’s advice and after tasting added some mezcal for an extra dimension of flavour.

We thought that the Gin on its own doesn't offer a solid enough grounding here. So we added 15ml Mezcal. Much better for us.

I thought the two Chartreuse would balance the Campari and lime but nope! Bitter is the word!

Absolutely not strange but delicious with an astonishing strong lime note. Made it with Boomsma and Chartreuse jaune, maybe Chartreuse vert would be an even better choice.
