Cocktails are indulgent treats so it's fitting to garnish one treat with another. And whether they be candy, sweeties, confectionery, chews or chocolate...
Absolutely loved the nostalgic candy cocktails piece, some amazing cocktails there. I'm not quite ready for a Smartini but the Werther's Original and particularly the Gingerbread were amazing. It inspired me to do the Rhubarb and Custard https://www.diffordsguide.com/cocktails/recipe/35017/rhubarb-and-custard , worth a try if you like confectionary cocktails
At My spot I do an homage to the old root beer barrel candy. 1oz St Elizabeth allspice dram, 3/4 oz anisette, 1/2oz simple. topped in a highball ice filled glass with club soda.
Don't forget your very own Turkish Delight cocktail, Simon. It's been in my favourites folder since I stumbled across this site, and it's always been warmly received by everyone I've served it to.
Thanks Steve. That cocktail is a blast from the past I'd completely forgotten about. I need to buy in some Turkish rose water. Certainly no shortage of cocktail based around Turkish delight.
