Loved this! Was looking for a festive drink for a Spiced Rum enthusiast and this will fit the bill perfectly. I used cinnamon syrup in place of simple to add to the festive vibes 🎄

I don't want to start a argument here... I could be wrong... but of all the research that I did, I don't think the cable car needs an egg white. I always made mine like this and the drink taste amazing. One of my favorite spiced rum drink. Try it if you can make it.

It's basically a rum sour with 1 oz of citrus, and sours frequently have egg white added to them.

When was an egg white added to the recipe?

I love this cocktail. Being a Gin girl means this is a bit of a shift, but I am also an adaptable girl. I use a Havana Club spiced rum, and prefer it even more than when Sailor Jerry is used. Alas, one can only get it in Cuba.

This really hits the spot. And while I have my rum sour, I make a dark n’stormy version for my wife: no sugar syrup or egg white, shake and dump into cinnamon sugar rimmed rocks glass and top up with ginger beer.

Lazy, non-cinnamon-sugar version I like: 60 ml Sailor Jerry, 30 ml Cointreau, 15 ml lemon juice, 10 ml 2:1 cane simple syrup. Solid.

Great. The blending of all the flavours works. Did only half the sugar syrup, but that is more for my taste.
