"What's The Buzz aims to showcase and collaborate with local initiatives in Dublin like Bee 8 - an urban hive collective that promotes inner city spaces to keep the bee population thriving. As part of the Garnished with Good project, What's The Buzz will also highlight local shops and suppliers that import international flavours to Ireland and show that by working with independent retailers it can help to grow the community.
BAR 1661 is located in one of the most culturally diverse locations in Dublin, and by working together, we can become a more socially inclusive drinks community.
My cocktail brings together Irish and Brazilian flavours and culture and will be used as a conversation piece to welcome guests into my venue. The drink will be served as a welcome cocktail in the build-up to the Global World Class Final, with every guest that visits the bar getting the opportunity to learn about the initiative and taste Ketel One in a World Class drink.
To take this one step further, I will be bringing this alive through a social media page that highlights and shares information around shops, suppliers and projects in Ireland - so that bartenders can get involved with sourcing localised ingredients and building their own communities."
