I added a couple of dashes of ango and its next level good
As a lover of Black Manhattans and the Dolin/Punt e Mes mix that Death and Co uses for their classic Manhattans, I am blown away by this drink. This is one of the most balanced stirred cocktails I have had. I am going to have fun riffing on this one.
Tried with Monkey Shoulder and Mr Black. This drink is like a more complex revolver that highlights the darker chocolate notes. 10/10 for me.
This is way more balanced than it appears to be. You get the bass notes of the smoke from the mezcal, a great body in the rum (I used Smith and Cross) and the falernum is the secret star giving it the right amount of sweet. I found a new cocktail for my rotation.
Instead of mixing the absinthe, I do a rinse like a sazerac. This is a great cocktail.
Never had cachaça so I do not know what a caipirinha tastes like, but this hits the spot. I used Smith and Cross Navy strength. Wow did it pack a punch.
Its a very clean and refreshing drink. I like my drinks on the sweet side so I up the simple to 3/4 oz. But I love this.
I love anything with black strap rum. This has a great smoothness. Don't go overboard on shaking because the pineapple juice will aerate more than other citrus and cause a foam situation that might make the cocktail too much liquid for the glass. I also recommend a Collins class for that very reason.
