I leave out the Cointreau, but I do add a few dashes of grapefruit bitters. One of my favorite poolside drinks.

The perfect vermouth for a martini. Noilly Prat is a decent substitute, but Dolin reigns supreme.
Completely underrated scotch. Finished in sherry casks, its as good as Macallen 12 at less than half the price.
There's nothing like it. No suitable replacement. The taste is polarizing but totally unique. If youre lucky enough to find a bottle in the wild, snatch it up without a second thought. One bottle might last you a lifetime but it's totally worth it.
As good as it gets. Makes the perfect martini with Dolin Extra Dry.
I'm a WT 101 fanboy. My favorite bourbon and my favorite rye.
My bourbon of choice for almost anything. I haven't found another bourbon I enjoy as much at any price point.
Makes a superb Roy Roy with Carpano Antica.
Made my Rob with a Brown butter washed Johnny Walker Black and Carpano Antico Formula. Thinking about a second before I’ve finished half the first.
The vermouth really makes this drink. You can use any blended scotch, but if you use a quality vermouth like CA you have a winner.
Monkey Shoulder with Carpano Antica. Add a couple of dashes of Ango bitters and garnish with a Luxardo cherry. This has become my cocktail of choice.
So cheap and tastes fine as a part of the wonderful negroni. Can anyone tell me why I should use better quality vermouths than this?
Dolin tastes better and its about the same price.
I prefer darker rums in my Daiquiri. My current recipe is a riff on the Smuggler's Cove Daiquiri #1:
1.5 oz Appleton Signature Rum
0.5 oz Hamilton 151 Overproof Rum
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice
0.5 oz 2:1 Demerara Syrup
I could drink this cocktail exclusively for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy.
This is the most riffable cocktail there is. Here's my twist:
2 oz vodka or bourbon
1.5 oz espresso
0.75 oz Licor 43
0.5 oz heavy cream (optional)
You can make four versions of this cocktail by swapping the spirit and adding or bypassing the cream.
