Tried instead with Sfumato Rabarbaro since thats what I had on hand. I think more bitter than intended. Im sure the Nardini would have given a sweeter but still slightly smokey flavor... I can see the appeal for sure. Would love to try with Nardini since the smoke from the sfumato overpowers the limoncello completely

A great cocktail suggestion even for those very hesitant with Jager. Complementary ingredients totally change the flavor profile of Jager from a slightly bitter amaro, to sweet and herbal liqueur. Very underrated combination Jager and Crème de Cassis

Very well balanced drink overall, and one of my favorites. For a more citrusy profile, I use Citadelle gin. Though I love the sweetness in Chartreuse Jaune, Chartreuse Verte adds a much more herbal backbone and accents the juniper notes in gin.
